If youarecarrying animals orplants, youhave topass thephytocontrol ortheveterinary control.

The animal and plant control offices are located in the centre of the International Terminal. Carriage of animals is forbidden in certain types of aircraft. Please ask for details when booking your trip, or in your airlines office.
Animals are to be carried in special crates/containers.

The weight of animals and birds, of their food and crates/containers is not included in the free baggage allowance. An animal is weighed together with the container, and the passenger is charged according to the total weight. The charge for carriage of animals is paid in an air ticket office or in the check-in area.

Guide-dogs are carried free of charge, without a crate, on top of the free baggage allowance on condition that the dog is wearing a collar and a muzzle, and is on lead.

If you want to carry plants, we advise you to ask the phytocontrol staff about the plant carriage rules.

The phytocontrol office is located intheCargo Terminal.
Flowers, nursery plants, food greens, tree branches with the total weight of over 5 kg are not included in the free baggage allowance.

Quarantine Phytosanitary Requirements:
Import of quarantine plant products into Russia
Import of plant products infected with quarantine organisms, or of soil, into Russia is prohibited.
It isprohibited forprivate persons toimport: live rooted plants andtheir underground parts with soil, live cultures ofinfestants ofdiseases ofplants, fungi, bacteria, viruses, insects that damage plants.
Under theRussian Federation legislation, aquarantine shipment maybewithdrawn, destroyed orreturned totheexporting country asprescribed byspecialists.
Import ofquarantine plant products into Russia inthecases provided forbyplant quarantine rules andregulations isallowed under theexporting countrys phytosanitary certificate.

Export of quarantine plant products from Russia
Quarantine plant products being exported from Russia must meet the phytosanitary conditions stipulated by international agreements on quarantine and protection of plants.
All quarantine plant products aresubject tochecking, bytheresults ofwhich aphytosanitary certificate isissued.

Phytosanitary control of shipments that are being exported takes place in the places of original shipping and secondarily in the airport.

Carriage rules
A passenger intending to carry an animal on board must already make it known during the booking. One passenger is allowed to carry not more than two animals at a time. Please obtain all details on import of the animal species and breed in question from the consulate of the country of your destination. The passenger must possess a certificate issued by a competent state institution and other documents demanded by veterinary bodies of any country to, from or through which the carriage is to take place.

The quantity of baggage places for carriage of animals differs for each aircraft; therefore you are advised to obtain exact information, such as the carriers guarantees and the transportation norms. You should take account of your pets behavioral specialities.

Animals are accepted for carriage on condition that the passenger assumes full responsibility for them. The carrier shall not be held responsible for bodily injury, loss, delayed delivery, illness or death of such animals, nor in the event of refusal to allow their being imported into or transited through any country or territory.

If you intend to carry an animal, we recommend you to provide yourself with this set ofdocuments:
veterinary passport (certificate) of the animal;
health condition reference (health declaration) of the animal. (This document can be obtained from any state veterinary clinic. The reference (declaration) includes information on vaccinations according to age. The most recent rabies shot must have been done not earlier than a year and not later than two months prior to departure);
a document from a club (either SKOR or RKF) certifying that the dog does not present breeding value. Documents from other clubs invite questions at the customs.
